Deadstock, vintage, woven The Cure patch.

The Cure, led by Robert Smith (vocals, guitar), started in 1976 as Easy Cure.  In May 1979 their debut album Three Imaginary Boys was released to great acclaim, and featured the single Boys Don't Cry.  Over the years the band's line up would rotate and change, all while they experienced commercial success with singles such as Just Like Heaven, Friday I'm in Love, Lullaby, Pictures of You, and Close to Me.

The Head on the Door album, released in 1985, featured the track In Between Days which was accompanied by a music video directed by Tim Pope.

The art depicting Robert Smith on this patch is a direct reference to that music video.
